The world of the four-year-old is expanding. Typical four-year-olds confront challenges and relationships that are often new and perplexing to them and to their parents. Barron's Parenting Keys Series speaks to today's parents, with answers to today's problems. Described are the average four-year-old's abilities, patterns of response, and potential problems and special needs.
After buying several books that didn't help me much, on managing a 4-year old, I got this excellent, clearly written, wonderfully helpful book. My granddaughter is a highly spirited, clever, too smart for a 4-year old kid. You don't want to kill that beautiful spirit of the child, but still want to stop them from running out into the street, if you know what I mean. I think this book can help you get to that delicately balanced place.

Out of complete desparation, I ordered this book. I'm pretty sure it was sent from heaven. It made me understand that I am not the only parent dealing with these problems. It gave great insights and great advice. Best of all, it was a quick read - it gets right to the point! A must for all parents!
This book helped our family keep a positive perspective!

Just when we thought we couldn't take another day of complaining, whining, hitting, sibling rivalry, arguments, frustration, etc, etc, we found this book and saved our sanity. Not only do the chapter "Keys" put a 4 year old's behavior into perspective, but, it also offers very helpful ways to manage the developmental phases they go through.
