i've never been to florida. never wanted to go to florida. that is, 'til i read robert tacoma's books. now everytime i see an exit sign for a highway going south a little part of me wants to just take it and drive until i hit the keys. you can't not like every one of robert tacoma's books. you also really can't not like every one of his created characters. even the ones you're not s'pose to like. somehow he just makes them all fun and makes them folks you could see yourself sharing a beer with....well, maybe in a well lighted place with a handy exit door. thanks, taco bob! keep 'em coming!

We met Mr Tacoma at a book signing during the Manatee Festival in Homassassa Springs a few months ago. I must tell you we bought the book just because we enjoyed the conversation with Mr. Tacoma so much. Had I known it was as good as it is, I would have bought a dozen for friends and family. If you like Carl Hiassen or Tim Dorsey, you will enjoy Key Weird as well. The "governor" even has a cameo in it. It was so fun I bought and read Key Weird, thoroughly enjoyed it too and now I can't wait to get my copy of Key Witch.
The Key's belong to a possum rancher.

Jimmy Buffett meet's Chris Moore with a little Carl Hiassen thrown in for fun. This book has so many jokes that you need read it twice. And you will because it is such a fast passed read. This book never slows down and you never want to put it down. Robert Tacoma's writing style is as laid back and as easy to read as Jimmy Buffett. He invites you into the story with no pretensions and you just don't want it to end. Lucky for you it doesn't have to; Key Weirder is out and Key Witch is coming. Keep an eye on this author, I know I will.
You gotta love Taco Bob!

This book is a fast and great read! The story really moves and keeps the reader involved and turning pages. You just have to see what is going to happen to Taco Bob next. Do yourself a favor and take a trip to Key Weird. You'll be glad you did.

Taco Bob's first adventure (and I truly hope there are more) had me smiling and snickering from the beginning. Set mainly in the Florida Keys, this story takes on the laid back Key West style with a most humorous tale of good guys, dumb guys and dumb bad guys. Add to the mix treasure with mysterious powers, indigenous wisdom, awesome Key West characters, and some not so bright ones along the trail. A great mix indeed and the good souled Taco Bob sails through all adventures with charm. Very funny and I'm so glad I spent my day with Taco Bob.
