Celebrate all the holidays-and then some-with renowned storyteller Kevin Kling, whose sense of the ridiculous never gets in the way of his appreciation for human nature.
Wonderful and wondrous as is always the case with Kling.

NPR listeners and those fortunate enough to have heard Kling perfrom live will be familiar with some stories in the book but the few I had heard before felt fresh and new to me reading them in this collection. My wife laughed out loud several times while reading Kling's Holiday Inn, just as I had. Real honest-to-goodness family fun in the best of several ways.

Didn't read the whole book as it was a gift. The product came in a timely manner and the books were as advertised. I would recommend this book as a light and entertaining read.
a fabulous read for any time of year!

Kevin's stories in book form are a great read, and those who've seen his shows will hear his voice when you read this book. These stories make you laugh out loud, make you tear up a little, and are wonderful read out loud stories for a car trip. It's at least as good as Kevin's first effort,(which was also fabulous) perhaps with a bit of a spiritual edge to it.
I'd stay at Kevin Kling's Holiday Inn

Kevin Kling's hilarious monologues have been featured on NPR's "All Things Considered." Many were collected in his first book "The Dog Says How," which showcased his goofy Minnesota sensibilities. More of Kling's suburban boomer humor is on the menu in his second collection, "Kevin Kling's Hilday Inn." The stories span time--from the 1960s to today--and space--including a bus trip, a ride to Seattle on freight train, and a visit to Australia (yah, a Minnesotan needs his own didgereedoo). But along with the wackiness, there is a depth to this guy's writing. He slips in some serious literary and philosophical observation in just a few pages. Kling's work is also available on CD and DVD.
