Keeping Fit book gives a treasure of health building practices

After a huge snowstorm, I went out with a shovel and cleared my walk and driveway. A neighbor, who had been watching my progress, came outside and jokingly asked where I got the flexibility and stamina to handle such a big job so effortlessly? I told him that it came from doing workouts from a book by Fred Neff. Who is Fred Neff? He is a martial arts master and the author of the book Keeping Fit: A Handbook For Physical Conditioning and Better Health, which provides valuable insight and exercises to improve a person's physical condition. Fred Neff has extensive experience helping people both as an educator and lawyer, which led to his receiving numerous awards including city of St. Paul Citizen of the Month Award, a commendation from the Sibley County Attorney's office, the WCCO Radio Good Neighbor Award, the Lamp of Knowledge Award From The Twin Cities Lawyers Guild and the Presidential Medal of Merit. I read Fred Neff's fitness book several years ago and have used it as the basis for my physical conditioning plan. This concise book has chapters with answers to common questions about physical conditioning, guide to proper nutrition, a beginning program of exercise, an advanced program of exercise, and physical activities for improving general health. The writing is straight forward and amply supported by pictures that illustrate the directions. I keep reading about the general decline in fitness of people and our youth in particular. I suggest that those interested in wanting to improve their physical condition read this book.
Fitness Book is a First Rate Resource to Get Into Shape

Over 20 years ago I read and enjoyed a couple of different books on martial art themes by Fred Neff. I remember practicing techniques learned from these books. Each of the books had basic exercises in them to prepare the body for the rigors of executing the martial art blows. These exercises were effective to condition the body for the training. Over the years, I have continued to do these exercises as part of trying to keep in shape. This year, a friend of mine mentioned how he used exercises from a book on Keeping Fit by a martial artist. It turned out that the author was Fred Neff. I got a copy of the book Keeping Fit: A Handbook for Physical Conditioning & Better Health and read it from cover to cover. This book was concise, practical and forthright in teaching how to achieve fitness. There was nothing revoluntionary in it just excellent advice and a progression of exercises at varying degrees of difficulty that should meet the needs of people just beginning an exercise program to established fitness buffs. Since reading this fitness book, I have been following the dietary advice and have built into my conditioning regime, all of the beginning exercises from the book. My body is more flexible, stronger, slimmer and better toned. Keeping Fit: A Handbook For Physical Conditioning & Better Health does just what its title says, it is a first rate resource for conditioning and better health.
