Another lovely Aldridge book

Keep To Me, Stranger by Sarah Aldridge 'Rosenstein's .. bastion of glamour and elegance, acme of the fashion world. The great store's founder, legendary Leah Rosenstein has been dead for twenty years, but her spirit still pervades the conservative, old-fashion establishment. Now, bowing to compelling competitive pressures and the need to modernize, the Rosenstein family has brought in talented Helena Worrall to be manager of Rosenstein's to be the first woman on its executive board since the death of Leah. Helena meets young Billie, a third generation Rosenstein who has inherited Leah's passion for the store. Love quickly grows between the two women. But Helena's personal presence is unwelcome in the Rosenstein family. She is an outsider, a Gentile .. and she faces implacable opposition from Billie's mother. And Helena herself has learned that there is another reason why she was brought in to manage Rosenstein's, the true reason. Romantic intrigue and the intricate politics of a warring family form the heart of Sarah Aldridge's ninth and most fascinating novel.' (Summary from back cover.) I loved this book, as I have all her books and I don't really understand why there are no other reviews of any of her books. The style of her writing, the complexity of the people she writes about, all create, for me, the perfect book. She fully explores the depth of human emotion of her characters and when I'm done reading one of her books I know and truly understand what motivates these women, particularly their family attachments. I always cheer and I'm so happy when they overcome their circumstances. Aldridge is one of my favorite top ten authors. You can't go wrong reading anything she writes. On the hot meter (considering how elegantly she writes sex scenes) was 7; on the love meter it was a 10. **Remember - if you want your favorite authors to keep writing they have to be able to earn a living doing it so try to buy the book NEW. If you're not going to keep it in your collection put it in the recycle bin to make another book.**
