Seventh grade is anything but calm for Madison Finn and her group of cyber-savvy friends. With budding romances, tricky friendships, old enemies, and new adventures, there is always something for Maddie to file in her laptop.
This book was really good. When I was younger I was hooked on Madison Finn, and I couldn't resist reading this one, too! In "Keep It Real", Madison checks out a new feature on bigfishbowl.com: Maddie's favorite site. Little does she know, Bigwheels has a blog on there revealing a secret about her family. I honostly didn't think that the secret was all that big of a deal, and I thought it should have been a little more "Wow!", but I guess it's good for kids 8-11. Anyway, Maddie gets frazzled knowing that Bighweels hasn't been 'keeping it real' with her, and gets a little agrivated with her, too, which I also thought was a little weird since you don't tell anyone every little secret you have with everyone...especially someone you've never met before! So at first their relationship is a little rocky after that. But offline, there's trouble going on at Far Hills Junior High. When Mr. Gibbons assigns his English class a journaling assignment, Madison's really excited. I mean, she journals every day! It should be a breeze. But then she finds out a secret about Ivy Daly, her arch enemy, that makes her think twice about figuring she has a "perfect life". Maybe Ivy's a normal person, too, just like Madison. Things with Hart, Madison's mega-crush, get shaky when he emails the guys how "lame" it was at Maddie's house when they got together to play "Disaster Zone"...Egg's new favorite video game. Does he really like her? Or is he just playing nice just to be kind? Find out while reading "keep It real". I recommend getting this for kids ages 8-11. They're a great series to get into if you're younger!
A must have read for all fans
