Ok but occasionally frustrating

Entertaining but frustrating- I get too irritated by females with no self awareness, no self respect and who allow themselves to be bullied/ steamrollered/treated like doormats. I suppose the book would shorter if someone just gave them a salutary slap? That said, the writing style is good, with some truly humorous moments, the plot OK, but the characters are mostly self absorbed, not rounded out and hard to identify with.
