Soichiro returns from a successful kendo tournament much to Yukino's delight. After a long summer apart, Yukino comes to realize that Soichiro has matured quite a bit. This stirs up new feelings in her and makes her fall in love with him even more.
Kare Kano is a Japanese high school drama that my girlfriend got me into. As a guy I am embarrassed to say that I like it. I am, however, hooked and I will own the whole series before the year is out.
satisfying reunion

At the beginning of this book is the conclusion of how Miyazawa's parents got together. After this sweet story, it's back to our main characters. Finally, Soichiro comes back from his tournament, and he and Miyazawa are reunited. She notices how much he has matured---he's gotten taller, more serious (if that's possible), and even more mysterious than ever. He's noticed his feelings have changed too...ah why do boys have to grow up. He's no little kid anymore...but neither is she. O well. It's a fun and romantic read, but be warned it's not for kids anymore; for this reasion I gave it four stars, because I liked it better when there was the simple, sweet romance and not hot burning passion...:)
