Really Good Read

I just finished this book by Yehuda Berg and I totally recommend it to anyone interested in self help and / or the Kabbalah. The book is an easy read. Large Type on some pages, to push important messages to our awareness and red font types to highlight specific ideas. Conceptually, Yehuda Berg discusses the concept of Pain. What Pain is, where it comes from and how to utilize it to overcome it. One of the big concepts that stayed with me, was this idea of recognizing we are not our ego. That our ego is an enemy. AN ENEMY. The ego tricks us and manipulates us to keep it active and in control. This ego is reactionary. These decisions that cause us to "react" instead of being proactive - are ego driven. These decisions end up causing us pain, as they only offer temporary relief. Yehuda Berg goes into some extraordinary detail on the subject and gives step by step methods of crushing the ego. One such technique is to allow the ego to take on all our pain. To allow the ego to be hurt, and recognize we are not the ego. So when someone hurts our feelings, we change our perception to realize, they are hurting the ego - and not us. This small book encapsulates so much information on Kabbalah. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in looking at the world in a different way - in becoming 'At Cause' over their life and in ending Pain.
