THIS BOOK CONCERNS AL DAVIS OWNER OF THE OAKLAND, THEN LOS ANGELES,THEN AGAIN OAKLAND RAIDERS. THE AUTHOR DOES A NICE JOB PROVIDING THE READER WITH A DETAILED HISTORY OF THE RAIDERS. SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS ARE DAVIS'S RELATIONSHIPS WITH JOHN MADDEN, KEN STABLER, JOHN RAUCH AND MANY OF THE RAIDER PLAYERS. THE ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT IS THAT I WAS HOPING TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE PRIVATE LIFE OF DAVIS. BUT ALL IN ALL I ENJOYED AND IT AND FOUND IT ENTERTAINING. VERY RECOMMENDE FOR ALL RAIDER FANS AND FOOTBALL FANS.
Glenn Dickey is almost a great writer

Unfortunately, as a sports writer, he tends to soften what he has to say, which, in the case of Al Davis, renders it insipid and meaningless. Want to read a good book on Al Davis? Try to find a copy of Slick: The Silver-And-Black Life of Al Davis. Supplemental reading: The League: The Rise and Decline of the NFL.
