Uniquely written , amusing and educational

I am reading this book with my son and it is all about the science of studying poop fossils but it is written for a young audience. He is 9 and could probably read alot by himself but enough scientific words make it move quicker to read together. It's a unique way to learn about the past, what dinosaurs and other animals ate and what the world might have been like for those things to be in their diets. It has many #2 jokes or play on words so you have to have a sense of humor about poop, but he is learning about animals what they ate and the changes in environment. He is learning about science and research. He is amazed at what can be learned by what was left behind. Its very unique to the point that I came on line looking for more books by the author.
