Incredibly empathic poems that are beautifully understated impressions/reflections on episodes in the sudden mortal splendor that was Keats' brief life. This description may be from another edition of this product.
To those familiar with the beautiful, yet tragic life of John Keats, Clark's book is a fantastic read that carries the reader into some of the thoughts and feelings of Keats. Clark's sympathetic identification with the poet's difficult life is conveyed in a number of voices (Keat's and Clark's). There are times of extraordinary power in his way of speaking both for Keats and about Keats. I found it to be a very deeply moving and refreshing look at John Keats. This book is an experience.
