couldn't put it down

Juicy is an appropriate title for this book. A great read for the beach. No, it's not deep and insightful, but rather, fun and trashy. Highly recommended!

What a way to live a life, it's a Juicy story indeed.

When watching major league baseball on TV you often see the camera pan to the ever supportive wives dutifully sitting at the park supporting their husbands. After reading this book I'll never think of them in the same way. 'Juicy,' a neat take off on Jose Canseco's book 'Juice,' is written by his second ex-wife. What a tale! Most of us grow up in dysfunctional families, most of us then create dysfunctional families of our own as we copy/work through/try to fix/live as we grew up. This story though creates new (to me at least) boundries in the concept. More than just dysfunctional, these two are nuts. They are both beautiful people, living with more money than they can count, and never really growing up. I found ths to be a fascinating book. It reads like a novel. Even though you know the ending, each chapter left me in amazement as to what they could come up with next. I realize that this is just her story, and that his story of the maeeiage would be different but who cares. This is not a story with a great deal of depth, but it is JUICY.

Loved It!!!

I could not put this book down...read the whole thing in one day. I commend Jessica Canseco for having the guts to talk openly and honestly about her "addiction" to Jose Canseco. I really enjoyed following her growth from a young, naive, hooters wannabe, to an empowered woman and mother. This book is inspiring to those women (and there are MANY out there), who attach themselves to the wrong guy -- hoping that that guy will make them something.

Worth the Read

I enjoyed reading this book and thought it was well worth my time. I also read Jose Canseco's book and it was interesting comparing their stories. At first, I did not feel very sorry for her but then I started relating as I also was in a controlling type of relationship for many years. I did not have the fancy cars or the big house, but I had the same problems!

Like Reading Someone's Diary

I simply could not put this book down - it was so incredibly fascinating. I don't understand why some of these reviewers are so heartless. I mean it seems to be a classic case of women not supporting each other. Why is Ms. Canseco being blamed for her ex husband's terrible behavior? Beyond cheating on her like crazy, he was physically and emotionally abusive for goodness sake. That's really what is shameful. This woman has obviously been through hell and stronger for the journey. I also saw her on Good Morning America and she seemed very nice and spoke from her heart. I loved this book and bought a copy for my sister - and she loved it too.
