Spanish Socialist Realist painter Juan Genov s (born 1930) is best known for his 1976 painting El Abrazo (The Embrace), which became a memorial to lawyers killed in the 1977 Atocha massacre. His colorful, cinematic works are collected in this monograph featuring text by noted Hispanist Ian Gibson.
