A good read for the young or old

I remember reading this book back in 1983 when it was first released. As a 5th grader I found the story entertaining and easy going. As an adult some 20+ years later its still a enjoyable story.

Journey into War

Journey Into WarBy Margaret DonaldsonPublished by Scholastic Book ServicesCopyrighted in 1979The main character is a French girl named Janey and two Polish boy named Tadek and Stefek. The three children has formed a club called the Young Eagles to defeat the Germans soldiers that is attacking France. The main setting is in France in a little French town called St. Quentin. It takes part during World War 2.Janey is a stubborn person that is in the Young Eagle club. She always hesitate and she will risk getting caught to finish the job. She loves animals. At one part the Young Eagle club was in the town hall (which has turn into a base for the Germans soldiers) and they cut all the telephone wires. The German's soldiers won't be able to telephone for help or soldiers calling in for help. The next morning, the general sent the lieutenant to see who has cut the wire. He found the cellar in the mill, and he went inside to investigate. The ladder broke and the dog bit his leg and the lieutenant fell down and lay unconscious. I think this book is cool and recommend you to reading it.
