Excellent reader for Reading Level 1.3

The illustrations and photographs in this reader are breathtaking. The illustrators include Gerald McDermott, Ed Martinez, and Laura Ovresat. The theme "I think I can" empowers early readers. We especially like the way fiction and poetry is paired with nonfiction and informational text.
