This is a book about being Ethiopian American. It is a guide for youth and families like mine. We are diverse in our cultures and our countries differ quite a lot. It has helped me learn about my extended family and I hope it will help you too. We must forgive and learn to get along. Remember one day when you are an adult treat the children like you wanted to be treated. We must be fair, patient and kind, whether you are an adult or a child. Treat all elders with respect and all children like their angels are watching. This is what I hope to accomplish. My prayer is for forgiveness of our sins, for my teachers to understand me and all the other children. I pray for good behavior in school and that God keeps all my family safe from harm. I want people to show more of the love of God, be nicer and to make their parents proud.
