Set in the Flower Kingdom and the nearby Vegetable Village, Johnny Joins the Army tells of young Johnny Jump Up and Davy Dill, who after a problematic encounter, assume they've been attacked and want to join battle in revenge. But they don't fully understand what it means to be God's soldier - to spread the love and wisdom of God. "We are supposed to spread the message that we all have sinned, and we all can be forgiven, and given eternal life through belief in Christ. We can't make another believe, just like we can't make a seed grow in the ground. All we can do is share the story. Is that what everyone means by 'planting a seed'?"
