An epic Western that captures the conflict between European Americans and Native Americans in the Wild West. John Ermine is stolen from a wagon train by the Crow Tribe at an early age. The young John is immersed in the culture and raised by the tribe through to an adult age. Later on John is sent to the Yellowstone army post on a scouting mission, romance blossoms with the daughter of company Colonel. Conflict rears it head as the mistaken half-breed returns to the Crow.
