The Marshall family takes roots in central Oklahoma, claiming their stake on April 22, 1889, during the first Oklahoma land rush of unassigned lands. Four generations later, Joe Marshall emerges from the small rural town of Crescent, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State University, to be acclaimed as one of the greatest baseball players of all time. Joe never wants to quit playing the game and would have played if they paid him or not.
