Why do fanboys have their panties in a bunch?

You'd think this book was the end of civilization as we know it judging from some geek reviews here. I just take it for what it is, another superhero story. We are not talking Shakespeare for crying out loud. Fairly entertaining and art that is better than any of the cartoony looking garbage that passes for art in a lot of comics these days. The basic plot has been explained in some other reviews here, so I wont rehash it. Yeah, there is too much over-explaining of characters every action by way of the over-use of thought balloons. I didn't need Superman to provide a blow-by-blow of his every movement, but oh well.It was basically entertaining and that is what I want. Some of these guys reviews are just nit-picking to the nth degree. Comics are escapist entertainment and if I am entertained the creators have done their job. If you are a slave to every minute detail of continuity in the DC Universe you will probably be crying foul when you read this, too. If you just want some old school comic fun then you will like this book.

Full Circle

This was a great book! I got it at the comicbook store because it looked interesting and was by the X-Men golden-team of Chris Claremont and that oher guy, I forget his mname, lol. I liked the story. Though some things were a little confusing to me, this prived to be a good read. The first non-cartoon I've seen of the JLA, and I loved it. I'm getting more of these books.

Highly recommended

The Justice League of America is handed a strange mystery when teen-agers begin disappearing across the country. However, when JLA members begin to disappear as well, a bad situation becomes much worse. There are bad guys lurking out there, and another group of metahumans who are playing their own game. This is a dangerous situation, and the JLA is going to have to work hard just to stay alive! This graphic novel is a reprint of JLA #94-99, in book form, and marks yet another relaunch of the Doom Patrol (not to be confused with the Legion of Doom). Now, this book has generated a lot of bad reviews, and indeed, the story is far from perfect. But, I must say that I found the story to be more exciting and tighter scripted than JLA: One Million. The bad guy is just short of all-powerful, which is pretty standard in these stories, and the heroes squeak through by the skin of their teeth. Overall, my eleven-year-old son and I both enjoyed this graphic novel, even if we didn't find it to be perfect. If you want a good, thrilling JLA story, then get this book. My son and I both highly recommend it.
