Sure, he's just a bartender. But he has more horse sense than any therapist, psychologist, or self-proclaimed maven will ever have. Meet James "Jimmy the Bartender" Kennedy, an old-fashioned, bow-tied... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This guy has good common sense when it comes to giving the right answers to men who have problems with women, the job, money etc. I first heard of him through Men's Health magazine, where he has his monthly column. Just about all of his answers to the men's questions on everyday problems will have you shaking your head in agreement. A great, entertaining book. I wish this guy was my bartender.
Go Jimmy!

Great advice and really, really funny, too. I would drink much more heavily if my local bartender was this smart!

Jimmy touches on just about every aspect that we've all heard in every bar accross this country! Nothing changes and Jimmy has some "straight from the hip" advice. I laughed, I learned, I loved it!
A must-have reference book for any guy with a social life.

I always delighted in Jimmy's articles. So, how great is it to have all of his wit and wisdom pulled together in one gotta-have-it volume. Jimmy's laid out all his invaluable "guy advice" in such an easy to read, quick reference form that it'll help every evolving urban male get the skinny on everything from snappy comebacks in tight situations to dressing to impress. No insult to Jimmy, but this is the best book to keep handy in the john - where you can get a quick edifying fix before you head out for the day. And did I mention it's funny as hell? A great book for women to have to gain greater insight into how out brains work.
The anti-Ann Landers...and about time.

I thought this was going to be one of those advice books for men where they tell you what's really bothering you and how to get help, the pop-psychology formula. But I was wrong, completely. This guy should put every shrink in the country out of business. He really pulls no punches. Jimmy gives it to you straight from the gut, which I think is pretty unusual these days. As a man who just ended a relationship with a woman I thought I was going to marry, I really wish I had this book about two months ago. It was all there and I just didn't see it. There is also a column by Jimmy in Men's Health and now I read that too. This guy could write a book a day and I'd read every one of them.
