Michael Crichton style

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I almost never read fiction but because it was recommended to me I read it and I'm glad I did. I was enthralled from beginning to end. If I had to make comparisons on the writing syle, Michael Crichton and Nelson Demille come to mind. There are some very clever ideas and twists in the story. What I really enjoyed was the good mix of charachters and technology. Lots of fiction seems to be technology driven but this one is not. There is a nice balance of charachter interaction, technology and storytelling that make the whole book a pleasure to read. I am looking forward to anything this author writes in the future. Get it you will enjoy it.

The book starts in Africa, which has always been dark and mysterious, right from the beginning the reader is carried away to sights and events that only your own imagination can conjure. McCallum, will masterfully lead you through a very intricate story of love, deceit, revenge and murder. The characters and events are perfectly described by McCallum giving the reader a sense knowing each person and place. It is also very obvious that the author is very creative by delivering a variety of new technologies and biotechnology's to the story line. All of this adds up to make the story very exciting, emotionally packed and intriguing. I most highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to read a story full of suspense and drama.
