From the acclaimed bestselling author of "Devotion" comes an enchanting tale of romance and desire. Widowed by the town preacher and denounced by her neighbors, Charity Bell is a marked woman. She does not dare to hope for love, until a handsome stranger walks into her life--and ignites a spark of passion she has never felt before.

One of the finest books I've read in years!!

Frankly, I was shocked by the other comments about this wonderful book. I was hooked from page one. The heroine IS sympathetic. For heaven's sake she's been dumped in the middle of nowhere by a charlatan! And along comes the hero, tragic, no reason to live. Charity and her son give him a reason to live. I highly recommend this book and anything else Sutcliffe writes. Bravo!

A winner!

He was a walking dead man with one mission in life: kill the men who murdered his family and destroyed his soul. He anticipated completing the job by killing the last survivor in Hell, Texas, a town consisting of murderers, thieves, and assorted other rogues. However, an unexpected encounter with the Widow Bell detours him from the road of destruction he traveled and back into the light. Charity, the town pariah, never anticipated falling in love with a gunslinger like Rafe, but she will take on the biblical Hell, let alone the Texas town, to keep him by her side. JEZEBEL is a haunting work that vividly demonstrates the healing power of love on the most lamented of souls. Katherine Sutcliffe captures readers' empathy through angst ridden characters who capture the sympathy of the audience from the very start of the novel. However, it is the poignant story line that takes the audience through an emotional ringer that makes this an interesting book. Harriet Klausner
