Beautiful and accessible

It's so good for Christians to be reminded that there is much faithfulness and complexity to be found in traditions outside our own. The C.S. Lewis quote at the beginning of the book (the one about reading old books) is my absolute favorite, and it works as a great framework through which to read about the medieval spirituality covered in Dr. Hamman's book.
