The invitation and the challenge to come to your own recognition of Jesus-offered to you by the larger community and in this course - is an intensely personal one. The intent of this invitation is not to compel you to accept faith in Jesus. What can and must be asked of you, however, is that you take the person and message of Jesus seriously and recognize the questions he posed about the meaning of life as central to your own struggle to be come a mature person. What you ultimately decide about him is for you to determine with honesty, openness, and integrity. That you must decide is a reality that can be postponed but not permanently avoided.
