Not About Eye Color

I am the author and responding to the 3-star rating someone gave because they believe I am mistaken about blue eyes and the Middle East. Notice that they liked the book, just not the title. I just want to say that my book isn't about Jesus' eye-color. It's about the fact that we should see Jesus in his own Jewish setting and not as view him through a modern Protestant or Catholic lens. With all due respect to the reviewer who gave me 3 stars, the complaint is incidental. The point of the book is knowing Jesus the Jewish healer, prophet, rabbi, and Messiah. As to whether the genetic trait for blue eyes comes predominantly from Middle Eastern cultures or Nordic/Teutonic/Germanic cultures, I'll leave that investigation to the readers, since I don't cover it in my book. Want to know what I do cover? Here are the chapter titles: Knowing Jesus the Jewish Man How We Got the Westernized Jesus Rediscovering His Jewish Birth and Childhood Encountering the Rabbi From Galilee Untangling the Messianic Web Interpreting the Son of Man, the Son of God, and the Messianic Secret Understanding the Conflict: Pharisees, Sadducees, and Essenes Believing in the Death and Resurrection of Messiah Exploring the World of Jewish Thought Hearing the Words of Jesus All Over Again --Derek Leman (who has brown eyes, by the way).

Fantastic - Restores teaching of Yeshua (Jesus) as a Jew!

This book does what few books can do, it challenges us to redefine our understandings of core doctrines and beliefs in Scripture. Yeshua (Jesus) was fully a Torah observant Jew, and contrary to today's teachings by many, taught His talmidim (disciples) to observer the Torah. He was born a fully Jew, and He died fully a Jew. A worthwhile book that will change the way you see Yeshua (Jesus).
