Easily the most comprehensive and logical discussion of the Dead Sea Scrolls and their relationship to the the New Testament, the Life of Jesus and the history of the beginning of the Christian Church. The appendices are somewhat overwhelming in their wealth of detail, however multiple re-readings are always rewarded with new insight.
Excellent reading, well researched, credible

Although I didn't spend alot of time reading the notes and research attached to this book, knowing it was there made the read much easier and added to the overall credibility. It is refreshing to read something written by a passionate Christian who has a deep sense of spirituality and believed Christ was an exceptional person, without believing that he ever walked on water or was raised from the dead. Her explanation of the two-tiered nature of the bible is fascinating. For those who are prepared to delve deeper than the surface of the BIBLE you should find your belief in the principles of Christianity affirmed rather than shaken. As she points out, it is not whether Christ performed miracles which is important but rather the messages he gave us about the treatment of fellow human beings with his wordsJesus of the Apocalypse is no less fascinating
