Horrifyingly beautiful

This book is one of my favorites, it grabs your attention and pulls it in a way you don't expect, it tells a true story about love and what happens when the love is pulled away, a perfect book in my opinion, IF YOU LIKED THIS CHECK OUT GO ASK ALICE

Horrible, and great all in one.....

This book is terribly tragic, and teaches a great lesson......IF you are brave enough to read it. This is the scariest book, or movie I have ever encountered in my life. Nothing has ever scared me so bad as this book. I was reading it at night, and I actually only had about 7 pages left, but i couldn't finish it, because it was too scary. I actually slept with a light on, and couldn't sleep for half an hour. I DO NOT recommend this book to anyone under the age of 18. Thanks, and Good luck reading it. But, don't say you weren't warned......

The scariest thing I have ever read.

Jay was just a teenager. A 16 year old that had so much potential: a 149 iq, president of the debate club, good grades, a girlfriend, a good friends. But his life went horribly wrong. Even in the beginning of his journal, Jay dabbled curiously in the occult: Oujea boards, auwas, and auras. The tone he was using suggested that he could handle it, that it was just his hobby that can be dropped anytime. But his hobby turned into an obsession, and soon he was playing with the dark forces of evil: animal sacrifices and black witchcraft. Throughout the second half of his journal, he kept saying that HE WOULD GET OUT. And yet, he was trapped in his world. He is trapped with a demon, Raul, that won't stop hovering over him. Right until the end, he makes desperate attempts to break out of his world once and for all, even saying in one of his last entries, "I must, I will call the Bishop." When the journal finally stopped with its tragic ending, I was stunned and disturbed. This book is not just a story that is meant to teach kids about staying away from drugs. It is meant to encourage teenagers to believe in their God (or the spirit that offers them love and forgiveness)without hesitation. There are strange and evil forces out there, waiting to prey upon anyone who seems willing. Perhaps Raul is out there... I would not reccmommend this book to teens under sixteen, and only those teenagers that are truely mature enough to read about Jay's unsuccessful battle with life.

The Darkness of Adolescence

This book is-in a word- provocative; I've never read a book that has such power. Jay is a 16 year old, like any other, very anxious to experiment with drugs, sex, and he even ventures to join cult. He writes in his journal of the inner-conflicts and the moral dilemmas he encounters. It's quite poignant because Jay feels he has no one that he can communicate with better than his journal, and he relates to his journal the most intimate thoughts of his life. It really reached home for me, being faced with the same problems as Jay. The ending is an awesome finale. I recommend this book to anyone who is, was, or will be a teenager. These issues cannot be ignored. Read it- you'll see.

very scary "True Story"

I read this book when I was 15 ( I'm now 31) and I have never forgot about it, I had nightmares for months and was afraid of the dark after I read it. This book is only for mature people, I would not recommend it to anyone under 17 or not mature. It is a journal of a boy that felt lost and got messed up with the wrong crowd, became a drug addict and a Satan worshipper. He tells details on everything he experienced, the powers he got, the demon named Roul that visited him many times (which is a real demon that was thrown out of heaven with Satan by God). I want to read this book again and I am still scared of it. Anyone that has ever thought about getting into the occult should read this and see for yourself what Satan will do for you, (NOTHING BUT EVIL, PAIN, HARDSHIP, DEATH AND HELL) it shows that he is greatly decieving, he loves no one and just want you to burn in hell as he is going to when things come to an end. This is really the scariest book ever, I don't know why there hasn't been a movie made out of it yet as it could help alot of lost people.

Scared

I read this book ten years ago, and still remember almost every detail- that's how much it affected me. I had no idea what this book was about when I picked it up. I found it in a large pile of books when I moved into a new apartment. I was 20 years old, and a Mormon missionary when I read this book. I was well informed on the occult and secure around members of the occult. I had no idea however, of the real activities of the occult. Jay began a journal as a young teenager at the urging of his ecclesiastical leader. No matter how low he sank, he remained true to his journal. I was afraid of the dark for two weeks after reading his encounter with Raoul. As a mormon missionary I was aware of the truthfulness of his dialogue with Raoul, that is why it scared me so. Now as a father of three, I purchased this book to be read by my children when they reach the age of 14. No one younger should read this book. Every teenager and parent of teenagers should.
