A very well written book

This book is a definate book for beginners. Intermediate and advanced users should only have this book for reference or to go back over the basics. This book does an excellent job with an intro to JAVA, and then proceeds to introduce you to the Visual environment. Syntax is stressed, and great examples are given. If you're looking for a first or second book, this is it. The reason it isn't a 10 is because the book becomes slightly "dry"...a few more screen prints would help the readers "feel" like they were on the right track.
