Readable introduction to a classic tale that should be read by all young people

The story of Jason and the Golden Fleece is a classic one that should be read by all students before they get out of high school. Not only is it a tale of adventure, but it also demonstrates some aspects of Greek thought and mythology. While the Greek gods were mighty, they were many, fickle and occasionally at odds with one another. However, the classic tales can be difficult reading for the modern student, so for beginners it is better if they are given a book containing more modern terminology. This book does that. The story is presented in a style that is more the "modern teen", yet sacrifices little in terms of the basic story. I found it easy to read, and hope that it will prompt some students to reread the classical versions. For there is one weakness to this version, some of the depth of the story has been sacrificed to the god of brevity. Other than that, it is a good book for the young person; it is readable and introduces them to one of the classic, mandatory stories about the development of Western Civilization.
