A good resource for discussing the Gospel with children.

I may be just a bit prejudiced, as Canon Harriss is my spiritual director, but I can honestly say that I enjoyed the book, and found it thought-provoking as well as entertaining. In addition, I have recommended it to a friend with three step-children, ages 8 through 16, and she has found it to be a good resource, offering a variety of ways to discuss the Gospel with children of different ages, and also quite helpful in the way it enables her to approach subjects she needs to discuss with her step-children, whom she has known for only a short time. I do hope it is still in stock, as it is certainly worth reading -- and sharing! R. Shifra Shamansky, Brooklyn, New Yor

Episcopal priest and mother, Susan Harriss offers the reader a wonderfully provocative collection of spiritual stories which are developmentally appropriate for a variety of ages. Many of the stories contain an element of surprize and wonder, leaving the reader, whether child or adult, with a feeling of awe and delight. I heartily recommend this book for parents and teachers both for its uplifting content and the questions young people will raise as a result of reading it. Dr.Kenneth C.Ruge New York, N.Y.
