A really good historical fiction

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK Ivy and her twin sister were so different. Alice was very active and into many activities. Ivy was more of a home body. When their biological parents remarried, even her dad was a stranger. It was then that her uncle and grandmother put her in a school where kids go that have trouble. After a while, Ivy started enjoying herself, that is until she heard the screams at night. And Ivy had no idea what was going on or who the girl was. Would she ever find out? Would Ivy even try to find the girl? Kellyn Roth writes another fantastic novel with a cast of wonderful engaging characters that will stay with you for a while. Ivy was such a sweet girl, and I liked her immediately. I was glad to see she was put in a place that had people to really care for her. Some places are not that nice, they more or less treat the children like a number. I think Ms. Roth knocked this one out of the ball park. To me, Ivy Introspective was an amazing read that I give Five Stars. A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. Ivy Introspective

I had the pleasure of reading and adored the first book from The Chronicles of Alice and Ivy series by Kellyn Roth, The Dressmaker's Secret, and was excited to have the opportunity to read book two, Ivy Introspective. Since it is part of a series, I believe it would be best to start it with the beginning. I thought this was a sweet story and I enjoyed going back in time to Scotland’s McCale House. I could relate to Ivy and her struggles to fit in and learning how to be comfortable within herself. I loved watching her mature and grow throughout the book. I thought Kellyn’s perfectly detailed by showing how Ivy was able to blossom, overcome her difficulties and come out of her shell. I felt like I was right there taking this adventure right along Ivy. The story paced just right for me and I did not want to put it down. I thought it was great. I am giving Ivy Introspect four and a half stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean historical fiction. I am looking forward to the third installment from The Chronicles of Alice and Ivy series, At Her Fingertips, to see what happens next with these characters. I am curious to find out what Kellyn Roth has in store for them. I received a digital copy of Ivy Introspect from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
