A Bit Dated

The charm of the nostalgia from the first book has absolutely worn off. I probably will finish the series just to see if it’s how I remember/if it gets better. 2001 was a completely different time, like wow.

i think all the Georgia Nicolson books are great, for all those teenagers that really enjoyed Princess Diaries and The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants! (or who didnt, it doesnt matter) because i have read them all, and loved them all!!! please read this, you will have a big laugh!

But now, time has gone by and Georgia has learned to mature up, or has she? No, not a chance, Georgia is the same crazy girl she has always been, with the exception of having a Sex god (a.k.a. Robbie) for a boyfriend. All was going well until Robbie had to travel around to promote his record. With Robbie away Georgia is left alone, boyfriend-less, while her friends go out with their boyfriends. Georgia secretly starts to actually have feelings for her ex-boyfriend, Dave the Laugh. This can't be possible, Dave the Laugh is going out with her friend Ellen. Georgia's way of trying to settle things, never turns out as planned! This genre is non-fiction narrative, but it's hilarious. It takes you along on the bazaar journey of Georgia Nicolson's English life. Dancing in my Nuddy-Pants was a real page turner because every page leads you to a funny event that is going to occur to Georgia, and you'll just want to keep on finding out what bad thing is going to happen to her next. The author makes Georgia seem like a normal person, but the some of the events that happen to her are so embarrassing and hilarious at the same time, that it makes Georgia's life seem so unbelievable, and it even makes you want to be embarrassed for her. The style of writing the author uses is very creative, it's written as if it were Georgia's diary which makes even more fun to read. I really recommend this book to girls that are in seventh grade or older, and that have a good sense of humor. I think it's a great book for all girls, whether they like reading or not. I think no matter how much you don't like to read, this book will really get to you, and you'll end up liking it.

This book is the best book ever! If you're a girl from ages 10 through... well... any age, this book is great! Just read it and you'll see. Well, that's about it, SO READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Georgia Nicolson...Need I Say More?

For those who do not understand the simple importance of my title, let me educate and elaborate.'On the Bright Side' is the second installment of Louise Rennison's series, which is centred on the fifteen year old Georgia Nicolson, a British girl who can't help but have a less than ordinary existence. Written diary-style, the book chronicles all her problems with her mother and father, Mutti and Vati, her slightly mad sister Libby, her half wildcat half...something cat Angus, and everyone in between. More Georgia antics in full swing...

Oh, to be young again! Reading On the Bright Side had much the same effect on me as its predecessor, Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging. It was totally reminiscient of my by-gone days; if fact, I pulled out my old high school diaries and laughed myself silly. Georgia is the epitome of a typical 14-year-old high school student, British or otherwise, and readers of all ages will most definitely relate to this wonderful character.This time around, Georgia has landed the Sex God, aka Robbie, boy of her dreams. But with his being almost 18, the relationship is short-lived and he breaks up with her via letter. Well, of all things! Georgia just will NOT stand for this. Thus ensues Operation Elastic Band, Georgia's no-fail plan to get Robbie back. The results are, as expected, spectacularly funny as only Georgia can offer.Readers will no doubt have a great time with this novel - it's just plain, harmless fun. Complete with hilarious observations and sparking with classic British humor, On the Bright Side is unforgettable. I cannot say enough good things. Clear a space on your bookshelf for this one.
