How to suceed

The book to me showed how his million dollar company came into existance. It told what he went through and how became what he is today. It tells how he made his camps and how God played a roll in his life.

An entrepreneur shares his story and his faith.

Is this book filled with great writing? NoIs this book filled with step by step processes to succeed? NoIs this book filled with the wonderful story of a man that succeeded by focusing on his work, his family, and his faith? YESS. Truett Cathy tells his story in his own words and fills it with his faith in God and how he feels it impacts him. He has a plan that he tries to correlate with God's plan for him. It's given him great success. Reading this book made me feel like I'd had a chance to sit and listen to Cathy tell his story in person. It's fascinating and a quick read.I've always been told that the quickest way to success is to emulate those that are successful. Here is a person to model if you want to be successful.

what to expect...

Is this a book on business success? Yes. Is this a book on allowing your devotion to God to affect your dealings in business? Yes. Is this a book about a person's personal walk with God? Yes. If you want to read a book like this - get this book and you will enjoy it. If you are looking for a book that ONLY focuses on buisness success and marketing, get another. Or, get the book anyway and learn something in the process (because this really is an interesting story)! Overall, a very good read. P.S. I used to work for Chick-Fil-A and I must disagree with one of the other reviewers about the probable failure in other non-Christian countries.... The store I worked at was located in a food-court in a large mall (it included a Tumbleweed, Subway, McDonald's, Sbarro, etc.). It was closed every Sunday and it still grossed more money than any other store in the food court every year. The quality of the product speaks for itself and I doubt they will have any trouble wherever they go!

Which would you rather have? Success or Failure

Though most people would answer that they would rather succed, more people do not pursure their dreams. Mr Truitt, did pursure his, and in his book he shows us that we can have our dreams come true as well, as long as we are willing to live by certain principles. He shows us his most treasured rules, and how he lived by them. He is a regular person who achieved success by going for it. Though this book is out of print FIND IT --- only if you too want your dreams to come true!

Excellent Book For Entrepreneurs

I have had the book for many years, and re-read portions of it from time to time. The message is timeless. Truet says that success is not easier than failure before you start something -- but is the best and maybe the only option after you begin. He believes the personal cost, both emotional and financial, of failing (after a project has begun) is worst than pushing ahead to complete it successfully. He says that every worthwhile project has many set backs; some of which always seem fatal before solutions are found. The final chapter is an inspiration to all who want to move their live from "success" to "significence".
