A suspenseful, absorbing novel that examines the complexities of friendship, It's Always the Husband by Michele Campbell will keep readers guessing right up to its shocking conclusion.
Kate, Aubrey, and Jenny first met as college roommates and soon became inseparable, despite being as different as three women can be. Kate was beautiful, wild, wealthy, and damaged. Aubrey, on financial aid, came from a broken home, and wanted...

Talk about unlikable characters. These despicable folks should all have been drowned at birth. And yet, I thoroughly enjoyed the book! It's more "story," less "mystery." Not what I was expecting, but kept me glued. Unlike other reviewers, I wasn't bothered by all the parties & drugs; they were necessary to establish Aubrey's seduction & complicity. Will definitely read more Campbell. I like your style. P.S. Kudos on the funniest dedication ever: "For my husband, who has never tried to kill me ... as far as I know"
Light suspense

This is a nice blend of an easy summer read and the thriller- so I 'd call it suspense light. Decent character development and interesting twists. Easy read and kept me engaged.
Wasn’t that great!

I didn’t like it cuz it was talking about college life too much and talking about going to frat parties but tbh I didn’t even get past chapter 4.😞
It’s Always the Husband: Did Not Live up to Expectations

This book focused far too much time on college life, partying, and drug habits of the characters. The mystery didn’t really begin til the end, and even then was slightly predictable. In the end I enjoyed it, however I spent too much time having to push myself to continue reading in the beginning.
What a book, love the twists and turns. An accomplished writer.

After about the first 250 pages, I enjoyed this book. Too much of the novel was spent in the characters' college years for my taste. Good ending though.
Phenomenal!
