Claudia, a girl that tries to be perfect, is in love with this band and they are having a concert in their city, but she has school that day. So her friend pressures her into skipping school. I like this book because it shows what teenagers go through. This is a good book for teens from the age of 12-14 or maybe even 15 year olds.

I saw this book in the store and just had to have it. Amanda Haley's watercolored ink drawings are just darling! I love her style and the simplicity of this book. The book spans a day in the life of a young child, from getting up in the morning, to going to bed at night. Everything imaginable is in there, and children of a wide age range and ethnic background are included. It's also a diverse book, showing many different types of family arrangements, such as baby sleeping in bed with mommy and daddy, as well as baby waking up in her crib. There also sweet doodles sprinkled through the book ... cute little butterflies, a bright sun, dots and stars, cute little bugs, etc... There are references to baby in day care, as well as to baby at home with mommy, so there's something here for all children to identify with. I think the content is excellent, diverse, and thorough, but the real charm of this book is the author/illustrator's sweet and gentle illustrations. There's a lot to share here with your little one. Use the pictures to make up your own stories as you go along.
