Excellent book

As a mother of two young children I have always tried to find a way to help my husband financially while sacrificing my children as little as possible. I have done many different things working from home since my 1st child was born. This book renewed for me what I knew in my heart was right. I recently quit working from home to be a full time mom ONLY and I am even more blessed in doing so not to mention how over joyed my kids are to have mom all of the time and my husband for having more time with me now that I can accomplish all of my other responsibilities at home during the day while he is at work. I can relate So much to the author at times she reminds me of me and at others of my own mom. If you are a mom wanting to devote more to your family this book is defenitly for you. Thank you for sharing your life and your experience with us.

At a time when politicians and parents alike are searching for ways to rebuild the American family, It Takes a Home provides real-life answers. I wrote this book after experiencing a reawakening to the importance of home in each of our lives, and to the incredible influence of a mom in a home. My second husband and I have been married 12 years and have four married children and eight grandchildren in our blended family. Since I was a divorced, single mother for 7 years however, the book is definitely written from a "here's what I learned, not what I did" perspective. I trust parents will find it encouraging, not condemning, as they begin around their own kitchen tables to do what President George W. Bush proclaimed we must do, "restore America's purpose." The most exciting response I've had to the book so far came from the President's mother, Barbara Bush, who wrote, "Your book deals with a very big problem--the break-up of families. You are part of the answer." I pray that the passion God gave me to share His truth about home and family will provide encouragement and direction to all who read It Takes a Home.
