One of the Best "Sweet Dreams" books I have ever read....

It Must Be Magic has everything a reader could want. It's one of those books where you think "This is going to be good" a few pages into it, and it is, to the very end. Great, even. Kerrie somehow ends up with Mike for her "genie" at a school auction and discovers more self-confidence as Mike obeys her every wish. Mike is bookoo desirable, and they have a lot of fun cooking up genie schemes together, that is whenever his fake, self-involved girlfriend Marcy doesn't show up. Kerrie longs to have Mike for herself, and flirtatious but kind Mark keeps her hoping. This book has everything a reader could want, with all the elements for a great read. Love, competition, girlish catfighting, longing...they all set each other off in delicious fashion. A great read for fans and non-fans of the series alike.
A really good read with an unusual "Genie" theme!

I really enjoyed this book when I read it for the first time about 15 years ago. It is the classic tale of studious, shy girl (Kerri Stuart) falling in love with popular, out-going athlete (Mike Price) who already has a gorgeous girlfriend. The background of "Student Genie Week" brings Kerri and Mike together as he becomes her personal genie and makes her wishes his commands! The book contains some hilarious moments as well as romantic ones as Kerri and Mike compete for "Genie Couple of the Week". Kerri relies on more than a little help from her friends as "The Arabian Nights Ball" - the traditional dance to round off Genie Week - draws ever closer and it looks as though Kerri won't have a date. The ending has a great twist which will keep readers guessing up to the very last page!
