I really didn't see too much of myself in Charlie, but that doesn't mean that I couldn't sympathize with her to a degree. She dates Daniel, the office stud as well as, it turns out, the office compulsive liar. As you can imagine, things in this relationship turn out badly and her old stand-by at home isn't there to make it all better when she needs him. So she goes to Scotland to visit her mother's college roommate who simply lets her talk and puts her to work on her sheep farm. The ending of this book is rushed and the "relationship" that Charlie has while in Scotland is remarkably thin and undeveloped. I think it may be a case of overediting. I had to go back a few pages to make sure of the characters I was reading about. However, overall, this is a great beach book or time-waster - good for a rainy afternoon.
Pretty Good for the first go - around

While this is no "Come Together" or "Come Again" by Josie Llyod and Emlyn Rees, I did enjoy it. I came upon this books ages ago ... and because I had love the "Come.. etc." books I jumped at the chance to read more by Josie Lloyd. I found the characters to be interested and fun.... but, the story lacking in the punch and romance that I was really hoping for. It's a good book for the beach... you won't strain yourself reading it. But, I think it's a good way to spend a few hours.
