The affirmative will be taken by Mr. McCabe, and the negative by Mr. Price. Of course, the negative of the resolution is open to all sorts of interpretations. It might mean that the plants and animals had developed by unnatural processes: it might mean that they had developed apart from and without including man. The views of the two disputants we shall hear in due course; but I repeat that I do hope that both will come closely to grips with the subject.
