The Irondequoit United Church of Christ is located on Titus Avenue in this suburb of Rochester. The church first opened its doors in 1911, but its history goes back even further to the Women's Christian Temperance Union. The WCTU turned the building over to the Congregational Church and later that would become the United Church of Christ. This is a unite church in that it encourages its members to learn about all religions, open its doors to the homeless and support all organizations that seek to look after the needs of the people. This is the home of the famous painting, The Sermon on the Mount and one of the churches who is in the network called, RAIHN. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
