Great for Historical Prosepctives

I purchased the book to get some background on the time my family lived in Iron River and soon found myself completely engulfed in the book. I had the book read in two days. The book gives you the idea of the hardship immigrant families endured, especially in living in the upper penisula of Michigan. The writing is basic and not a lot of discriptives were given but it was good reading.
