Useful and practical gem!

This book is a gem. It includes river, canal, and lake walks. A simple but clear drawing is included with each walk description with an identification of the appropriate Ordnance Survey map. The length of the walk both in distance and time is indicated. A description of the terrain and the difficulty of the walk are included. Information on where to park and begin are clearly given. Notes are made concerning interesting plants and animals which may be viewed en route. Little snippets of history add perspective. I found the path descriptions accurate for walks that I made and look forward to future walks.
