Excellent Summary of History and Beliefs of Islam

This book is an introduction to the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the basic teachings of Islam. It is an excellent primer and preparation for understanding the Holy Quran for casual and serious students. It presents reasons why the Holy Quran was (and is)needed by mankind. A boigraphy of Muhammad (peace be upon him). Discusses how the Holy Quran was compiled and preserved. Finally, it describes the Quranic teachings on various subjects of common interest for comparative religious thought, such as the nature of God and man, man's purpose in life, life after death, and practical Islamic teachings for every day life.
