Excellent Introduction to a Complex Field

I have used J. B. Harborne's Introduction to Ecological Biochemistry in a number of my ecology courses. I find it and examples from it particularly helpful in exciting my ecology and plant ecology students about the molecular aspects of what they are observing at the macroscopic level. Well written and accessible with depth to follow. More Biology and Ecology students should read this before taking Organic Chemistry- it would really whet their appetite.
