Book Overview

The study of relationships--a topic which has received considerable attention in Europe, the United States, and parts of Asia, until now has not been addressed in the Arab world.

intimate and insightful

Great book... If you are a social statistician looking for lists of boring statistics, look elsewhere. But if you are interested in an objective, yet intimate, portrait of real people's lives in cultural pockets not easily accessible to many of us, read this book! This book is neither orientalist nor apologetic and its articles contain a depth and insight not often in academic texts. Appropriate for scholars and laypersons alike!
