Used several times

I've checked out this book from the library a number of times for job and grad school interviews (although it doesn't focus on school interviews). I found it to be a helpful guide to really look at what my goals and skills are and to be able to articulate them in an interview. I finally broke down and bought a copy. Anything referenced so often is sure to be a useful addition to my collection.

Great Book

This book is awesome. I started a career services business and it's a great resource.

Powerful piece of work

The author prepares you fully for the job interview. The book makes you think and organize your approach, leaving nothing to chance. I know a number of people who have used the book with great success.

Outstanding!

This book is an excellent resource. After almost a year of job hunting, I bought this book, put its suggestions into practice, and within a month I had the interview that got me a job in my field. This book helps you generate a bank of success stories focusing on your experience, education, and skills, and shows you how to use them to best showcase yourself in an interview. It provides many example interview questions, and teaches you how to use your stories to answer those questions well, rather than offering canned responses that make all candidates sound the same. Finally, this book goes beyond interview questions and answers to cover other aspects (such as demeanor and attitude) that have a big impact on the impression you give a prospective employer. If you're job hunting, this book is your best investment.

Comprehensive

This book takes a comprehensive approach to preparing for, succeeding during, and following up an interview. The structure is to plan it like a marketing campaign and then sell yourself - not so much as a logical point-counterpoint list of qualifications but rather appealing to the emotional side of interviewing as well. I like the rather wholistic approach, particularly how the planning component can boost your confidence going into the interview.
