Warnings of Future Judgments if America Turns to Wickedness

This book is written in three Sections. Section I is titled "The Prophetic Warnings." The title of Section II is "Famine, Sword and Pestilence--Instruments of God's Judgments." Section III is on "Personal Preparation for the Last Days." The first section analyzes nine comprehensive series of prophetic warnings, all drawn from the Book of Mormon. Each section represents a broad pattern of scriptural admonitions: 1. "Those Who Do Not Believe in God Will Be Destroyed." 2. "Those Who Will Not Serve God Will Be Destroyed." 3. If People Turn to Wickedness, They and the Land Will Be Cursed." 4. "If People Do Not Repent, They Will Be Destroyed." 5. "If the People Fight Against Zion, They Will Be Destroyed." 6. "The Great and Abominable Church Will Persecute the Saints." 7. "If Secret Combinations Are Allowed to Spread, the Nation Will Be Destroyed." 8. "If the People Choose Iniquity, Judgments Will Come Upon Them." 9. "Conflict and Apostasy." The second section contains three chapters, each of which include numerous prophetic warnings concerning possible tribulations which may arise if people fail to respond to the warnings recorded in the nine chapters of Section I. Chapter X (21 pages) cites "Prophecies of Future Famine." Chapter XI (60 pages) gives many prophesied details of future conflicts and their aftermaths. It is titled "God Has Decreed Wars Upon the Wicked." Chapter XII (12 pages) covers "Pestilence and the Lord's Desolating Scourge." Section III (49 pages) is a more upbeat chapter concerning "Personal Preparation for the Last Days." It counsels adopting attitudes based on gospel principles, then suggests numerous spiritual and temperal preparations one can and should make. Finally, it gives suggestions about how to interact with others in the last-days environment. The message of this book is that maintaining righteousness, on both a personal and national level, is the essential key to preventing these dire prophetic warnings from coming to pass. Unfortunately, if the American nation allows itself to turn away from righteous and permits wickedness to prevail, then the prophesied consequences will become unavoidable. This book is a Volume 2 to the author's best-selling book on last-days events: "Prophecy--Key To The Future."
