Through it all.

Kudos to Shellie R. Warren on writing such a powerful message filled book. The author of this book could be anyone of us because in some form or fashion we all have been a victim of poor decision making that led to unhealthy relationships etc. "Inside of Me" is just another example of not being able to have a testimony without the test. It's a must read for all ages and genders.

Awesome

This is an awesome book for all to read. The experiences that Shellie shares are as real as it gets. It should be shared with young men and women to let them know that they will have choices to make and their decisions will have an impact on thier lives as well as others around them. I am proud of Shellie for being brave enough to share with us her experiences so that hopefully we can avoid some of the things that she endured. To all thinking about purchasing the book----Just Do It--It is priceless!! God Bless you Shellie and continue to share your awesome gift !!

AMAZING...

Its not by accident that after about 35 reviews, nearly all have given this book 5 stars. What is there to say that hasn't already been said? I have seen alot of comments that say "this is a must read for women"... just to clarify, this is a book "for everyone- men and women." I am a 24 year old guy and read this book in 2 days. God has certainly blessed Shellie with tremendous writing ability. You will not be dissapointed with this book...

Saving grace for some. Healing for others. Ya gotta read it!

Reading Shellie Warren's Inside of Me brings to mind Makes Me Wanna Holler by Nathan McCall and The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah. After reading these books, I told anyone who crossed my path that they are a `must-read' for teenagers and adults. Inside of Me not only gives you a real and, often time, raw look into `sexual misue', sexual addiction, and the detriments of childhood sexual abuse, it gives you a realistic look at the heart and spirit of a broken young girl. Shellie weaves us through a story of failed relationships, multiple abortions, low self esteem, self pity, and self loathing. Knowing in her heart that something just wasn't right from a very young age, Shellie proceeded on a path to seek and experience unconditional love. Many girls and women have set their sights on a similar journey only to realize, many years later, that the journey should have taken them inside to the true source of unconditional love. What is truly wild about reading Shellie's story is that you judge, criticize, and nearly dispise her weakness. But, then you put the book down and recall your own tumultuous teenage years, which probably have led to some turbulent adult years. Then, you realize that Shellie's story could be your own. Just thinking about the mistakes you have no nerve to admit can make you break out into cold sweat. Shellie is not different. Her story is prevalent among many including the young men who delve into the world of "sexual misuse." What has to be done is what Shellie so bravely did. She set the table, served up a platter of no nonsense discourse, and poured out her heart. What's between these pages took courage to write. It's now our turn to open the book and unveil what is happening in order to heal. Reveal it. Talk about it. And, change it. I gave the book as a gift to my friend's teenage daughter. Everywhere she went, she took Inside of Me. The book is that compelling! This book can help parents open the door to have the conversation they should have with their children. When Inside of Me reaches the masses, it will have the same impact as the movie Thirteen. Inside of Me is an easy, quick read. I finished it in just a few hours. From page one, you feel as though you're sitting on a sofa and talking to a friend. A tear roles down your friend's cheek and you ask, `what's wrong.' The story she tells is Inside of Me. You take the journey with her. You hold her hand. And, afterwards, you praise dance together because the journey - if you want to call it that - is over and the lessons are clear. Healing has begun and a new life is born. Thanks, Shellie.

a man's point of view

Shellie R. Warren writes from a place deep within the soul that many haven't been able to reach giving voice to what many women have not been able to express. Because she has, others will find strength to overcome personal obstacles. This book is not just for the women. It would be good for men to read as a perspective and insight to how some women are affected by our actions.
